About the GPA Calculator
This GPA calculator runs entirely in your browser. Add your courses, enter the credit hours and letter grade for each, then click Calculate GPA to see your Grade Point Average instantly. Nothing is uploaded — all math happens on your device.
How GPA is calculated
Each letter grade is assigned a grade point value (A = 4.0, B = 3.0, etc.). For every course, multiply the grade points by the number of credit hours to get quality points. Add up all quality points, then divide by the total credit hours.
GPA = Σ (grade points × credits) / Σ credits
How to use the calculator
- For each course row, enter the course name (optional), credit hours, and select the letter grade.
- Click + Add Course to add more rows, or the ✕ button to remove a row.
- Click Calculate GPA to see your total credits, total grade points, and GPA.
- Click Clear to reset all rows.
Frequently asked questions
Does this tool save my data? No. All calculations happen locally in your browser. Your course list never leaves your device.
What grading scale does this use? The standard 4.0 scale with plus/minus grades (A+, A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D, F).
Can I use decimal credits? Yes. Credit hours accept decimal values like 0.5 or 1.5 for partial-credit courses.
What if I have a non-graded course? Simply remove that row with the ✕ button, or set its credits to 0 so it doesn't affect the calculation.
